Join our innovative Deep Learning algorithms team within the Sony AI-Solutions group, where we develop cutting-edge computer vision and deep learning technology for edge devices. We’re looking for a student to join the development of PHY technologies for a 5G cellular IoT modem.
As a student in the team, you will join the development of PHY DSP algorithms on a state-of-the-art modem chipset.

Responsibilities
As a pivotal member of our Product Management team, you will directly influence the roadmap of our edge AI solutions. You will help our developers understand the needs of our customers who are implementing cutting-edge solutions with edge AI devices.
- Communicate effectively, steer projects autonomously, and mediate between various stakeholders across various disciplines and geographies, within and outside the Corporate, including R&D, regional teams, key partners and customers, customer success, business development, marketing, and HQ.

Requirements
7+ years of experience in software development.

PHY VERIFICATION ENGINEER
Play a significant role on the PHY silicon team, developing Sony Semiconductor IL’s next generation 5G IOT chips.
Responsibilities
- Take part in all aspects of digital design verification including specifications, test plan, execution, debug, and tools and coverage in block-level to chip-level environments.
- Contribute to the verification of an extremely complex, state-of-the-art 5G IOT standard.
- Work with sophisticated verification methodologies and implement cutting-edge methods.
- Run and debug the verified designs, including acquiring the knowhow in various technology fields (communications, DSP, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with the design and DSP teams and provide support to SW and production teams.

Responsibilities
- Develop clean object-oriented and functional code in Kotlin.

Requirements
- Experience in Kotlin, Java, or Scala.
- 5+ years in software development, focusing on design patterns, functional code, and immutable/stateless code.
- Experience with build systems (e.g., Gradle, Maven, Bazel).
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other modern CI/CD tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be part of the Deep Learning Group, a multi-disciplinary group working across various SW and HW activities. You’ll take part in development of state-of-the-art computer vision AI technology for edge devices and Sony image-sensors and develop Java applications, signal-processing programs and infrastructure for deep learning platforms and applications.
· Implement algorithms for a deep-learning compiler framework
· Produce high quality, efficient, mature, well-tested code
· Develop software representations and models
· Take part in the evolution of the development environment, infrastructure, and methodologies
· Closely collaborate with other SW and HW teams
Requirements
· Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
· At least 3+ years of industry experience in SW development
· Proficiency in object-oriented programming
· Team player and highly motivated
Advantages:
· Relevant experience with algorithms implementation over SW/DSP
· Experience in Java/C++/Kotlin or other equivalent Object Oriented Programming language.
· Experience with development environments, testing environments Git/TeamCity/Jenkins
· Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including - graph theory, algorithms, data structures and object-oriented analysis and design

In this role, you will have a direct impact on our product. As a team member, you will be responsible for the operating and maintaining a world wide automation testing system, analyze and debug the testing results and report results and issues into Sony’s data systems.
The project you will be working on is a total solution (edge to cloud) of unique B2B internet of things (IoT) service.

Responsibilities
Verify functional and performance features of Sony products.
Operate and maintain automation testing setups world wide.
Design, implement, maintain, and run automation campaigns on various setups on weekly/monthly basis.
Analyze and debug test results and report results and issues into Sony’s data systems.
Requirements
BSc in EE or Computer Science or equivalent an advantage.
Experience on cellular (3G/4G) or networking testing an advantage.
Solid hands-on experience with software and firmware validation.
Familiar with testing methodologies, writing test plans, bug reporting, good troubleshooting capabilities and bug tracking systems.

Take on a pivotal leadership role in a small, dynamic team developing the System-On-Chip for Sony Semiconductor IL’s cutting-edge 5G IoT and AI products. In this role, you'll lead, mentor, and guide a team of verification engineers, ensuring the development of innovative and robust verification environments, from block-level to chip-level. You will drive the implementation of sophisticated verification methodologies for System-On-Chip flows, collaborate closely with the design team, and provide critical support to SW and production teams. Additionally, you'll research and integrate cutting-edge industry technologies and standards across various fields such as communications, processors, and interconnect.
Requirements
- Lead and manage a team of verification engineers, providing direction, mentorship, and professional development.
- Oversee the development and improvement of verification environments, ensuring comprehensive coverage from block-level to chip-level.
- Implement and refine advanced verification methodologies in collaboration with the design team.
- Support SW and production teams, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of the System-On-Chip.
- Conduct research on industry technologies and standards, integrating best practices and innovative solutions into the verification process.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting proactive attitudes and independent thinking.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering/Computer Science from an established university.
- At least 6 years of experience in the verification flow of complex designs from test plan definition to coverage closure.
- Strong understanding of high-level system flows and constraints.
- Proven experience with Specman and/or System Verilog.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
- Independent thinker, curious, and motivated.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in UVM.
- Background in System-On-Chip flows and on-chip interconnect protocols.
